LPG News: Ceasefire has been announced between America and Iran on Tuesday night. The Strait of Hormuz has been opened as soon as the ceasefire was announced. Strait of Hormuz, that’s the way. From where oil and gas are supplied to the whole world. Due to the closure of this route, the prices of crude oil started touching the sky. There was a crisis regarding LPG in India also. After the ceasefire, the central government has taken a big decision regarding LPG.
In view of the shortage of LPG across the country, the government has decided on a new formula for supply. The government has already allocated 70 percent of packed non-domestic LPG to all the states. In which 10 percent LPG will be allocated in those states. Where reforms to PNG will be implemented. According to the government, the state which will promote PNG infrastructure. They will get more gas.
Government gave instructions?
The central government has given three instructions to all the states. According to which, the Natural Gas and Petroleum Products Distribution Order 2026 should be sent to all the concerned departments. Along with this, instructions were given to avail the benefit of 10 percent reform-linked LPG allocation as soon as possible. Instructions have been given to notify the state policy to Compressed Biogas i.e. CBG as soon as possible.
These sectors will get plenty of LPG
The government has set its own criteria for LPG. According to which, it has been decided to provide LPG in large quantities to sectors like Pharma, Food, Uranium, Heavy Water, Polymer, Agriculture, Packaging, Metal, Ceramic, Paint, Steel, Seed, Foundry, Forging and Glass. The amount of gas that was consumed in these sectors before March 2026. About 70 percent of its LPG will still be available. The government believes that if LPG is not provided to these areas, the daily needs of the people may be affected.
