New Delhi: The Government of India has issued an advisory asking Indian citizens in Iran to leave the country immediately following recent developments in the region.
The advisory was released on Wednesday after a two-week ceasefire was announced in the ongoing conflict involving Iran and the United States. The Indian Embassy in Tehran shared the information through its official social media account and provided guidance to help citizens exit Iran safely.
The embassy urged Indian nationals not to attempt crossing international borders without informing or contacting the mission. The advisory further asked Indians in Iran to avoid unnecessary movement and remain in safe locations. The embassy said it is monitoring the situation and assisting citizens as needed.
