Producer Namit Malhotra announced that Ramayanadirected by Nitesh Tiwari, will release on a grand scale this Diwali.
He expressed gratitude for the global response to the film’s teaser, describing it as “overwhelming, inspiring, and humbling.”
The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, and Yash as Ravana. The teaser sparked mixed reactions online, with audiences divided over its visual effects and tone. Malhotra, who heads VFX giant DNEG, assured that thousands of artists and collaborators are working tirelessly to perfect the film’s visuals and storytelling.
He emphasised that Ramayana belongs to everyone and carries immense emotional significance. “We are listening closely, working diligently, and giving our best to honour this timeless epic,” he said. Malhotra added that the team aims to make every Indian proud through their dedication and craftsmanship.
The producer highlighted that what audiences have seen so far is only the beginning. The upcoming Diwali release will showcase Ramayana on an unprecedented scale, celebrating Indian culture and heritage through cinematic excellence.
