Where is the facility?
With this station located in the mall’s B1 parking lot, Tesla users will now be able to conveniently and easily charge their vehicles while shopping. This facility is especially beneficial for people who want to use their time effectively.
Charging speed and features
In fact, the biggest feature of this new charging station is its fast charging speed. The supercharger here offers DC fast charging of up to 250 kW, which allows the Tesla Model Y to be charged enough to travel approximately 275 kilometers in just 15 minutes. Additionally, 11kW AC destination chargers are also available, which can provide a bit more time to charge your vehicle. Thus, users can choose the charging option according to their needs.
Tesla has made its charging system smart. Through the company’s app, users can find nearby charging stations and monitor the charging status. Not only this, but also notifications when charging is complete and payments can be made directly from the app.
Tesla charging network and locations in India
After this station in Navi Mumbai, Tesla charging network now has a total of four charging stations in India. A total of 20 Superchargers and 14 Destination Chargers are available at these stations. These stations are located at DLF Horizon Center in Gurugram, Worldmark 3 in Aerocity, One BKC in Mumbai and now Nexus Seawoods Mall in Navi Mumbai. Tesla aims to set up as many charging stations as possible in places like malls, highways and food courts, so that customers do not have to face the problem of charging anywhere.
Charging costs
Talking about cost, using Tesla’s Supercharger costs approximately ₹24 per unit. A full charge of the standard Model Y variant costs approximately ₹1,800, while the long-range variant can cost over ₹2,000. On the other hand, the Destination Charger costs around ₹14 per unit, which is a slightly cheaper option. This allows users to choose the charging method according to their needs and budget.
