It was being speculated for many days in the political circles of Punjab that Navjot Kaur would join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after being expelled from the Congress party. Now these speculations have come to a complete stop because Navjot Kaur has formed the Indian Nationalist Party. Navjot Kaur Sidhu has announced this on her X account. Assembly elections are going to be held in Punjab in 2027, just a year before that Navjot Kaur’s formation of a new party can pose a challenge to the opposition. Seeing this new equation, many people have given their reactions on social media.
Navjot Kaur shared a post on X account last Monday and said that she is starting a new party. Navjot Kaur has been active in Punjab politics since 2012. In 2012, she got the BJP party ticket, where she worked as Parliamentary Secretary, while Navjot Kaur’s husband Navjot Sidhu had joined the BJP party in 2004 itself. In 2016, both of them left BJP party and joined Congress party. Now the question arises that what is the opinion of the people about Navjot Kaur’s new party.
What did Navjot Kaur post on social media?
Navjot Kaur shared the party’s logo on her X account on Monday and said, ‘Now we are moving towards a new option. Now we want to dedicate ourselves to the country, so that the common people can get their rights. People with similar ideologies will join together and achieve their goal. Seeing this post and the party’s logo and poster, people have shared their reactions through comments.
Through the comment, one person has said, ‘This will bring a big change in the politics of Punjab. Navjot Sidhu should be in this party. This party will reach a big level and will have an important contribution in whatever government is formed in Punjab in future. This will have a wide impact in Delhi and Haryana. Regarding this new party, Harpal Singh Cheema said, ‘I think that both the husband and wife together will form a new party in Punjab and the name of the party will be Pati-Patni Party.’
Bahadur Singh has said, ‘We just need an assurance from you that you will never join BJP party, then my vote will go to you only.’
Objecting to the poster of the new party, Jai said, ‘Isn’t the name of the party written only in Hindi and Punjabi languages and these people claim to do good to Punjab?’
