Creator Mindy Kaling returns to streaming with a new show this summer. Hulu recently announced the release date of Not Suitable for Work. The streamer also released the first official photos from the series, giving audiences a sneak peek.
Mindy Kaling’s Not Suitable For Work gets Hulu release date and photos
Hulu has set the Not Suitable For Work release date for June 2. The series will launch with its first three episodes on the day of release, followed by two new episodes each week until the finale on June 23. Mindy Kaling’s new show will be available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the United States, while international audiences can watch it on Disney+.
Alongside the announcement, the platform also released first-look photosoffering an early glimpse into the single-camera series. It shows the cast in various Manhattan settings, from sleek corporate offices to the bustling sidewalks of Murray Hill.
The official logline describes the series as centering “around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings striving for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill.” Kaling created the series and serves as executive producer. Charlie Grandy, who previously collaborated with Kaling on The Mindy Project and The Sex Lives of College Girls, steps in as showrunner and executive producer (via Variety).
Not Suitable For Work cast includes Ella Hunt, Avantika, Will Angus, Jack Martin, Nicholas Duvernay, and Jay Ellis. The series also features recurring guest appearances from actors such as Victor Garber, Greg Germann, and Harry Richardson. Additionally, Constance Wu, Laura Bell Bundy, May Hong, Bhavesh Patel, Emilia Suárez, and Michael Benjamin Washington will feature on the show.
With its release date now confirmed and first-look photos revealed, Mindy Kaling’s new show is set to release as one of Hulu’s major comedy offerings this summer.
