On April 7, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, along with Virat Kohli, landed at the Lokpriya Gopinath International Airport in Guwahati in the evening. Fans spotted Virat walking down the airport alley dressed in RCB's official merchandise, and the video went viral.

Notably, RCB will be playing the Rajasthan Royals on April 10, at the Barsapara Stadium, for their upcoming future. The defending champions had a perfect start in the 2026 Indian Premier League, winning both their matches against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings. At this point, RCB is slated at the 2nd spot of the IPL points table due to a Net Run Rate of +2.501.
For RCB, Devdutt Paddikal is leading the batting chart with 111 runs, Virat Kohli follows him closely with 97 runs.

A rain-affected match in Guwahati?
Guwahati is already hosting Mumbai Indians against Rajasthan Royals, where heavy rain cut away almost half the overs from both sides. The toss was delayed to 9:55 pm. The overcuts started from 8:40 pm. However, it has been decided that an 11-a-side match will be played between RR and MI.
Meanwhile, on April 10, when RCB plays their match against RR, the rain forecast shows a relatively low chance of precipitation. While there is a higher probability of rain earlier in the morning and afternoon, the evening conditions are expected to be largely dry for the game.
The sky is expected to be clear during the match window, with the daily aggregate chance of rain is approximately 20%, mostly concentrated in the pre-match hours.
It will be a cool evening at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, with temperatures dipping to around 18°C - 19°C late at night. Expected to be high, reaching up to 90% late in the evening, which could lead to a significant dew factor impacting the second innings.
Currently, Guwahati is under orange alert for hailstorms and lightning, which are expected to clear up significantly by Friday.
