Electric Cargo Vehicle India: Tata Motors has launched a new EV pickup, further strengthening its electric commercial vehicle segment. Name of this new model Tata Intra EV Has been kept, whose starting price is ₹ 11.95 lakh (ex-showroom). This pickup is based on the existing Intra platform and comes with a special electric powertrain. The company will sell it across the country through its commercial dealer network.

Big power for small business

Tata Intra EV has been specially designed for last mile delivery and intra-city freight transportation. This pickup has the capacity to lift up to 1,750 kg at a time. With this, the option of long load body is available, whose length is more than 10 feet. It can become a great option for sectors like e-commerce, FMCG distribution, cold chain logistics and waste management.

Strong battery and great range

This electric pickup has a 72 kW motor, which generates a peak torque of 230 Nm. The company claims that this vehicle can easily move on slopes of up to 23% even with heavy load. It has a 28.2 kWh battery, which comes with IP67 rating i.e. safe from dust and water. Once fully charged, this pickup can give a range of up to 211 kilometers.

Fast charging and long warranty

CCS2 fast charging is supported in Tata Intra EV. According to the company, this vehicle can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 55 minutes. The battery is being given a warranty of 6 years or 2 lakh kilometers (whichever is earlier), which makes it more reliable.

Safety and smart features

In terms of safety, it has been provided with electronic braking system and three-level regenerative braking. This not only increases the efficiency of the vehicle but also improves the real-time range. The cabin is designed around utility, with a walk-through layout and electric power-assisted steering.

Charging Network and Service Support

Tata Motors is also offering a strong ecosystem with this EV pickup. More than 25,000 charging points and 200 dedicated EV service centers across the country will support the vehicle. This new model will further strengthen the small electric commercial vehicle segment by joining the company’s Ace EV range.
