West Bengal Elections 2026 : Bengal : Assembly elections have been announced in five states of the country. Bengal is the most talked about. In Bengal Trinamool Congress and Matata Banerjee (Mamata Banerjee) has power. Cracking the stronghold of Mamata didi is a big challenge for the BJP. But the challenge of SIR is more than a political fight. This has questioned the identity of many people in Bengal.

For a common man, his voter ID card is not only a guarantee of his right to vote, but also the biggest proof of his existence in this country. But today, 90,83,345 people in West Bengal are under the hanging sword of losing their identity. According to the final figures released by the Election Commission, a large population of voters in the state has been excluded from the rolls. This huge number has not only created a stir in political circles, but millions of families in border districts are worried that they will now be considered ‘illegals’ in their own country. This has created a mess of identity cards in Bengal ahead of elections.

Murshidabad and 24 Parganas districts are worst affected

The number of these names is likely to increase further
