Pakistan Super League’s team Karachi King has been hit with a fresh blow.
Former Austrailian batter David Warner has been arrested in his home country.
The batter, who was signed by Karachi Kings, was charged with drunk driving after allegedly recording a blood alcohol reading twice the legal limit in Sydney.
The player reportedly blew 0.104 following a breath test on April 5 after he was detained in the eastern suburb of Maroubra.
New South Wales Police shared a statement about the incident sayinf Warner parked his car for the test.
The statement read “About 5:30pm today (Sunday 5 April 2026), police were conducting stationary random breath testing on Malabar Road, Maroubra. A van was seen to allegedly stop short of the testing site and park.”
It added “He was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station where a second test allegedly returned a reading of 0.104.”
The batter is currently playing in PSL XI as the captain of Karachi’s team and was scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on April 9 for the second leg of the tournament.
