New Delhi: Rohit Sharma was seen practicing hard in the nets ahead of Mumbai Indians’ IPL 2026 clash against Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday. The five-time champions meet the 2008 title winners at the Barsapara cricket stadium on April 7.
Both the sides have played a total of two matches till now with the Royals emerging victorious in both while Mumbai winning one and losing the other clash. Rajasthan have been in a fabulous form and would like to continue the same today while Mumbai also has been in a good touch and would be aiming bag their second victory.
As far as the form of Mumbai veteran Rohit is concerned, he has showcased his class in both the games which is good sign for the franchise. With an aim to show to make an impact in the further games as well, the Mumbai batter was seen sweating it hard inside the nets ahead of the team’s next contest. According to a video on social media, Rohit was seen hitting big shots in an evening practice session to polish his skills.

Meanwhile in the two matches for Mumbai Indians, Rohit has scored a total of 113 runs getting off to a brilliant start. With an average of more than 56 and a striking strike rate of 176.56, he started off the campaign with a fiery 38-ball 78 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and followed it up with a 35-run show against the Delhi Capitals (DC).
Hardik Pandya, who missed Mumbai’s last match against due to illness, is expected to return to the team which will be a big boost for the side. In his absence, Suryakumar Yadav stepped in as the captain and if Hardik comes to the playing XI today, Suryakumar might be used an an impact player.
