Kannada television actress Geetha Bharathi Bhat has once again raised her voice against body-shaming , opening up about the emotional toll of repeated negative comments on social media. The actress, best known for her role in the Kannada serial Brahmagantu , addressed the issue during her appearance on the reality show Jodi No. 1 .
Speaking candidly on the show, Geetha revealed that she has been subjected to hurtful remarks about her body, with trolls targeting her weight, appearance, and even her personal life. She said that while such comments may seem casual or harmless to some, facing them repeatedly can be deeply distressing.
Highlighting the impact of insensitive remarks, the actress pointed out that people often speak without understanding the consequences. She noted that while certain aspects like clothing or styling can be changed instantly, body-related transformations take time, making such criticism particularly harsh and unfair.
Geetha also had a strong message for online trolls , urging them to refrain from targeting individuals over things that cannot be changed overnight. She added that although she may appear unaffected in public, such comments do hurt in private moments.
Standing firmly by her side, her husband Rajararam Bhat extended his unwavering support. He stated that it is his responsibility as a husband to be her pillar of strength and assured that he will continue to stand by her against negativity.
The couple, who recently tied the knot, are currently participating together in Jodi No. 1, where their strong bond has drawn attention. In an emotional moment, Geetha compared her husband’s support to that of Lord Rama standing by Sita, underscoring how crucial his presence has been in helping her navigate criticism.
Geetha Bharathi Bhat, who has previously faced similar trolling incidents, has consistently spoken out against body-shaming. Her latest remarks have once again sparked conversations around online toxicity and the urgent need for empathy and sensitivity in public discourse.
