Nora Fatehi’s troubles increased in obscene song controversy, Women’s Commission gave ultimatum; Summons issued to Sanjay Dutt too

Nora Fateh Controversy: The song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri’ from the Kannada film ‘KD: The Devil’ has been embroiled in controversy due to its alleged obscene and double meaning lyrics. Since its release, this song faced a lot of opposition on social media. After which the song got banned in India. National Commission for Women has again summoned Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt in this case.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) had taken suo motu cognizance of this matter and issued summons to Nora. However, in the hearing held on April 6, Nora Fatehi herself did not appear and her lawyer arrived in her place, which was not accepted by the Commission. This angered the Commission.

Nora got ultimatum

The Commission has given Nora Fatehi the last chance to appear in person on 27th April. A warning has been given that even if she does not come to the next hearing, action can be taken against her.

Summons issued to Sanjay Dutt also

Summons have also been sent to actor Sanjay Dutt in this case. She has been asked to appear before the Women’s Commission on April 8.

Lyricist and makers apologized

During the hearing, song lyricist Rakib Alam, director Prem and members of the production team appeared before the commission. Everyone apologized in writing and acknowledged that the song had a negative impact on society.

Nora Fatehi had already given clarification in this matter. He says that he was told the wrong translation of the song and the Hindi version was released without his permission. He also objected to the use of AI images.

It is being told that the film ‘KD: The Devil’ will be released in theaters on 30 April 2026. However, the controversy regarding the song still continues.
