Dhurandhar: The Revenge is showing no signs of slowing down at the box office. Since its release on March 19, 2026, the film has taken over cinemas across the country and has now crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark in India. The entire team is currently celebrating the film’s massive success. Director Aditya Dhar has been actively sharing posts on social media, thanking his team and acknowledging their contribution to the journey. On April 7, he once again took to X to express his gratitude, this time for music composer Shashwat Sachdev.
Aditya Dhar turned his home into studio for Dhurandhar
In a heartfelt note, the filmmaker talked about how his collaboration with Shashwat went far beyond a professional partnership. He described the composer as someone who became like family to him during the making of the film. According to Dhar, they shared not just creative ideas but also moments of chaos, silence, and intense pressure while working on the project.
One of the most striking revelations from Aditya's note was the speed and scale at which the music for the Dhurandhar franchise was created. He shared that for the first part, Shashwat composed nine songs in just nine days, along with completing the background score in six days. The pace only intensified with the sequel, where 14 songs were composed in 11 days, and the background score was wrapped up in a mere three days. Dhar admitted that even recalling this now feels almost unreal to him, considering the quality and emotional depth the music carries.
The director also opened up about how his Mumbai home transformed into a creative hub during the process. He wrote, "For almost 15 days, my house stopped being a house. It became a living, breathing studio. Every room had something going on, music in the living room, recordings in the bedrooms, writing in the balconies. Singers and musicians walking in and out endlessly. Days and nights just blending into each other. 21–22 hour stretches, no real sense of time, just a shared madness to get it right."
At the center of this whirlwind was Shashwat Sachdev, whom Aditya credited for holding everything together. He explained that the composer was constantly creating, experimenting, and refining ideas, even while dealing with exhaustion and health concerns. He also stated that despite running on minimal sleep and facing personal challenges, Shashwat remained fully committed to delivering his best work without compromise.
Aditya Dhar also acknowledged the contribution of lyricist Irshad Kamil and the rest of the team, saying their collective effort elevated the music to another level. He pointed out that releasing two albums within a short span of time and seeing them dominate global charts is a rare achievement for any film. According to him, it was the team’s shared passion and dedication that made this possible.
