Renowned comedian Sunil Grover has once again won the internet’s hearts with his incomparable mimicry chops. He imitated legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar while hosting Chetak Screen Awards 2026. His clip quickly went viral, leaving netizens awestruck. Check out the video:

Many clips of comedian Sunil Grover from Chetak Screen Awards 2026 have been going viral for the right reasons. After his convincing impression of Aamir Khan at the show, he wowed everyone with his flawless mimicry of lyricist Javed Akhtar.
Taking the stage, Grover set the tone for his act with a playful apology directed at Akhtar. He said, “Bhayi maaf kijiyega. Main aapse keh raha hoon sir. Maaf kijiyega (My apologies, sir. I’m telling you to you please forgive me).”
Slipping effortlessly into character, he continued, “Main padhte padhte kitaab mein ghus gaya tha. Main hoon Javed Athatar,” playing on the number 78 in Hindi. The punchline landed as the audience erupted in laughter.
He then turned to Akhtar who and quipped, “Aap kaunse number ke baithe hue hain, sir? Main athattarve number ka Javed hoon,” leaving the crowd in splits.
The camera captured a bemused Akhtar smiling. Veteran actor Raj Babbar, who was seated beside Akhtar, was seen enjoying the act and laughing heartily. Following this, Farah Khan joined Grover on stage to add to the playful moment by addressing him as Javed uncle.

The clips of the act from the award show have gone viral. An Instagram user wrote on one of the clips, “AI ko bhi fail kr diya.” Another one called him “anmol ratan (priceless gem).” One more commented, “Wah kya acting hai... Mujhe toh sach mein lagne lga k shayad jawaani ka javed hai 😳”
Sunil Grover, along with Zakir Khan, Saurabh Dwivedi, and Alia Bhatt, hosted the evening with his evergreen acts. Grover dressed up as in his iconic avatar of Aamir Khan. His look went viral after Aamir and Sunil collaborated on a viral promotional video for the film Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos in January 2026. With his latest acts at the Screen Awards, Grover has once again proved why he is one of the best performers today in the comedy space.
