**The Process for Booking an Entire Train or Coach in India**
If you, too, wish to book an entire train coach or a whole train for a wedding, a religious pilgrimage, or a group tour, the FTR (Full Tariff Rate) system is utilized for this purpose.

**Where to Book?**
You can make a booking for this service through both online and offline channels.

To book online, you must visit the IRCTC FTR website (ftr.irctc.co.in).
Alternatively, offline bookings can be made by visiting the UTS counter at a railway station or by approaching the Station Master.
**How ​​Far in Advance Must One Apply?**
To book an entire train coach or a whole train, an application must be submitted a maximum of 6 months and a minimum of 30 days prior to the date of travel.

**Booking Procedure**
You are required to fill in all the details regarding your journey (route, date, and number of coaches).
Upon doing so, you will receive a reference number.
Once you receive this number, it is mandatory to complete the payment within the stipulated timeframe (within 6 days).
After the payment is successfully processed, your unique FTR number will be generated.

**How ​​Many Coaches Can Be Booked?**
For a single journey, you can book a maximum of 10 coaches.
However, if you wish to book an entire train, you may apply for a maximum of 24 coaches (including 2 SLR coaches). How much does it cost?
According to available information, the cost is approximately ₹50,000 per coach (for up to 7 days).
For durations exceeding 7 days, an additional charge of ₹10,000 per day applies.
Furthermore, a minimum payment of approximately ₹9 lakh is required for an entire train (based on 18 coaches).
