The local police has taken a strict stand against the bullet riders who disturb the peace by making loud and harsh noise on the streets of the industrial city of Obara. During a special operation led by the Circle Officer (CO), Obara, dozens of Bullet motorcycles that were running flouting traffic rules were thoroughly checked and strict action was taken on the spot against the violators.

Under the able leadership of Obara jurisdictional officer, the police team conducted a checking campaign by blocking major intersections and main roads of the city. During this time, the main target of the police were those bikers who had installed modified silencers in their Bullets contrary to the company’s standards. As soon as a loud or firecracker-like sound was heard from any bike, the police team surrounded it and immediately stopped it.

During investigation, the police found that many drivers had installed silencers in their bikes which are banned under the Motor Vehicle Act. These modified silencers not only cause huge noise pollution but also cause a lot of trouble to the pedestrians, elderly and patients walking on the roads. The police took strict action and removed illegal silencers from the seized vehicles on the spot. Along with this, heavy fines were imposed on dozens of drivers who violated the rules.

The police also warned the drivers of seizing their vehicles if they are caught again. Regarding this action, police officials clarified that maintaining discipline on public roads is the priority of the police. Those who spread terror through loud noise or disturb the peace of the general public will not be spared at any cost. This campaign will continue in the future also so that road safety and peace is maintained. With this action, the enlightened citizens and general public of the area have heaved a sigh of relief and have appreciated this step of the police administration.
