The Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to face off against the Mumbai Indians (MI) in an upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) match, with several players on the brink of achieving significant milestones. MI is looking to recover from their recent defeat to the Delhi Capitals (DC), while RR, led by Riyan Parag, aims to secure their third consecutive victory.
Jaiswal Approaches 100 Sixes
Yashasvi Jaiswal is just four sixes shy of reaching a remarkable milestone of 100 sixes in the IPL. Over 69 matches and 68 innings, he has accumulated 2,259 runs with an impressive average of 35.29 and a strike rate of 151.71, which includes two centuries and 16 fifties. If he achieves this feat, he will join fellow franchise players Sanju Samson (197), Jos Buttler (135), and Shane Watson (114) in the exclusive club of 100 sixes.
Jadeja Nears Unique T20 Achievement
Ravindra Jadeja, the legendary all-rounder, is on the verge of a unique T20 double, needing just eight more runs to reach 4,000 runs in T20 cricket. He would become the second Indian, after Hardik Pandya, to achieve the dual milestone of 4,000 runs and 200 wickets in T20s. Currently, he has scored 3,992 runs in 348 T20 matches, averaging 26.43 with a strike rate of 130.75, including five fifties.
Hetmyer Eyes 1,000 Runs for RR
Shimron Hetmyer, known for his finishing prowess, is just 27 runs away from becoming the 10th player to reach 1,000 runs for the Rajasthan Royals. In his 57 matches for the team, he has scored 983 runs in 51 innings, averaging 30.71 with a strike rate of 153.11, which includes three fifties. His performance in IPL 2022 was particularly noteworthy, where he scored 314 runs in 15 matches at an average of 44.85.
