More than 60 thousand people saw the great drama 'Samrat Vikramaditya' organized in Ujjain. The grand sets, superb acting and historical scenes left the audience emotional and thrilled.
Bhopal/Varanasi. Ujjain, the religious city of the country, witnessed the good governance, bravery and courage of Emperor Vikramaditya from 3 to 5 April. The historical grand drama 'Samrat Vikramaditya' organized by the Culture Department of Madhya Pradesh Government was staged, which was seen by more than 60 thousand spectators. This proved to be a big record in itself.
The grand staging thrilled the audience
The audience became emotional and thrilled after seeing the presentation of this great drama. The artists on stage brought alive the glorious history of India. This is the same history, which has inspired human society for freedom and good governance for centuries. The event was inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav told historical importance
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that this event is a special opportunity to introduce people to the life and ideals of Emperor Vikramaditya. He said that Emperor Vikramaditya is a symbol of the excellent tradition of good governance and his life is inspiring even today.
Grand set, lights and music increased the attraction
A huge and attractive set was prepared for the Mahanatya. Tall forts and forts were built on the stage, seeing which the audience was experiencing the royal grandeur. Lighting and music effects made every scene more alive. The spectators were filled with pride realizing the justice of Emperor Vikramaditya and the greatness of his rule.
Elephants, horses and war scenes became the center of attraction
In this play, the caravans of elephants, horses and camels thrilled the audience. The roar of elephants and the hoofs of horses created a real atmosphere of war on the stage. It seemed as if the audience had become witnesses of a historical battlefield.
Great performance by more than 200 artists
More than 200 artists participated in the Mahanatya. All the artists effectively presented various aspects of the life of Emperor Vikramaditya with their acting. He also showed how an ordinary king becomes 'Chakravarti Samrat' on the basis of his virtues, justice and courage.
Emotional scenes, tears in the eyes of the audience
Many scenes of the play were so emotional that the audience had tears in their eyes. Especially the scene in which Emperor Vikramaditya disguises himself and goes out at night to inquire about the condition of his subjects, touched the hearts of the people. At the end of the play the entire atmosphere echoed with slogans of “Victory to Emperor Vikramaditya”.
