The Dhurandhar craze is not dying down anytime soon. Many people auditioned, and others were offered roles they had to ultimately deny. Then there were those who saw the film and, in a rare moment, were left wondering if they could have been a part of the movie or not.
Paresh Rawal found himself in a similar position. Although he has been a man of little to no regrets, it was the Ranveer Singh film that made him feel left out for the first time.

Speaking with PTI, Paresh Rawal talked about how it hadn’t been until he watched Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge that he felt that he would want to watch it multiple times without getting bored. Before that, there was no movie that gave him such a feeling. Having worked with Aditya Dhar before, he knew how the filmmaker’s mind worked, but this was extraordinary beyond words.
"Dekhi, Dhurandhar 1 and 2 dekhi, part 1 do baar dekhi, dusri ek baar dekhi, vapas dekhne jaana hai. Mujhe hona chahiye tha ismein (I have watched both parts, watched part 1 twice and part 2 once, and I want to watch it again. I should have been a part of the film)."
Not only did he feel left out, but he also felt like he wanted to watch both films over and over again.
Paresh Rawal on comparisons with R MadhavanBefore this, Paresh Rawal had worked with Aditya Dhar on Uri: The Surgical Strike, where he played the role of NSA Govinda Bhardwaj. His character was inspired by Ajit Doval, who was also the inspiration behind R Madhavan’s Ajay Sanyal in the Dhurandhar duology.
"I liked Dhurandhar a lot; it’s not just a film but a saga. For the first time, I felt I should have been part of it. Zindagi main pehli baar mujhe laga main hota ismein toh maza aata (For the first time in my life, I felt that it would have been fun if I had been in it)."
The actor compared the two roles, stating that he liked the film a lot and that he should have been a part of the film. He did find it peculiar that both of the characters were based on the same person, but it only made him want to be part of the film even more.
