Phase 2: Negotiations for a permanent peace agreement.

It has been told that if needed, the duration of ceasefire can also be extended.

Which countries mediate?

According to sources, in addition to Pakistan, Turkey and Egypt are also trying to bring the two sides to the negotiating table. Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has also stated that ceasefire efforts are moving in the right direction.

Iran’s terms

According to sources, Iran has put forward some demands to end the war, including

Issues such as war reparations and security
guarantees are said to be included. Negotiations regarding the Strait of Hormuz are also considered important. Trump’s warning

US President Donald Trump has said a deal is likely soon, but that if Iran doesn’t act quickly, attacks could escalate. He also took a tough stance on keeping the waterway open.

Iran counterattacks

Iran’s Culture Minister, Seyyed Reza Salihi-Amiri, dismissed Trump’s statements, saying Iranian society doesn’t take them seriously. He added that Hormuz is open to the world, but not to Iran’s enemies.
Overall, talks on a potential 45-day ceasefire have certainly raised hopes amid tensions, but the situation remains uncertain due to conditions and a lack of trust.
