Digi Yatra Airport Entry Without ID: Digi Yatra, which provides entry only through face without showing ticket at the airport in India, is now moving towards the next big change. Till now this facility was limited to domestic flights only, but now its scope is going to expand to international travel and services outside the airport. Testing for this has also started. Know how Digi Yatra will be useful in traveling abroad and how preparations are underway to make it a one-stop digital identity.

Now Digi Yatra will be useful in traveling abroad also

Beyond domestic flights, Digi Yatra's next biggest leap is with international flights. The company has also started testing through electronic passport on routes like Bengaluru-Doha. This means that in future, the same digital ID that you will use while leaving India can be used at airports abroad also. However, this does not include immigration as of now, as this would require approval and rules from different countries.

Digi Yatra extended to airports of small cities also

Presently Digi Yatra is operational at 38 airports in the country and has almost covered the big cities i.e. Tier-1 and Tier-2. Now the focus is on airports in smaller i.e. Tier-3 cities, so that more and more people can get this facility.

Preparing for onboarding with digital passport, without Aadhaar

At present, Aadhar card is necessary for registration in Digi Yatra, but now there are preparations to change it. The company is also conducting onboarding tests through electronic passports. The advantage of this will be that those who do not have Aadhaar will also be able to connect. Identification will become easier for international travel

Future plan of Digi Yatra: ID of one country will be valid in other countries also

The real vision of Digi Yatra is to create a global digital ID system. That means if you share your identity in India, the same data can be used at airports in other countries as well. But for this, international rules, agreements between countries and similar technology standards will be necessary.

Preparation to use Digi Yatra even outside the airport

Digi Yatra doesn't want to be limited to just flights. In the coming time, it can also be used in hotel check-in, event entry and other digital services. That means, in a way, it can become your one-stop digital identity. The benefit of this will be that people will get rid of long lines, the need to show ID again and again will end. Travel will become even faster and easier. Even in future there will be less hassles in international travel.
