New Delhi: India has said that it has sent a new consignment of relief material to Afghanistan to help the people affected by the recent floods and earthquake. External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on Sunday that India is committed to providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan in this difficult time.
“In view of the hardships faced by the Afghan people due to the recent floods and earthquakes, India is sending HADR (Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief) material, which includes kitchen sets, hygiene kits, plastic sheets, tarpaulins, sleeping bags and other materials,” he said.
“India stands in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and is committed to providing humanitarian assistance and support during this challenging time,” Jaiswal said on social media.
