Singapore’s Changi Airport has slipped two places from last year to the fifth position in a list of world’s 10 best airports for baggage delivery as part of the 2026 World Airport Awards, according to London-based aviation consultancy Skytrax.
Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in Taoyuan City topped the list, followed by Japan’s Fukuoka Airport and Kansai Airport, based on a global survey which gathered responses from airport users across more than 100 countries between February and August last year.
More than 500 airports were rated based on factors such as the availability of luggage trolleys.
Some tourists said immigration clearance at Changi was swift but luggage delivery at the airport was far too slow.
Many passengers claimed they were left waiting for their bags around 45 minutes after landing.
The airport operator issued an apology late last year and pledged to ensure a smooth experience for all travelers.
