New Delhi: Triumph has launched the Tracker 400 in India, priced at Rs 2.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new bike adds another option to the company’s 400cc line-up. It focuses more on styling and design rather than changing the core mechanical setup. In simple terms, it is built on the same base as other 400cc models but looks and feels different.

With this launch, Triumph is simply adding another option for buyers. Instead of making major changes to the engine or platform, Triumph has introduced a fresh design inspired by flat track racing. This means customers now have a new style to choose from without compromising on familiar performance and usability.

The Tracker 400 uses the same TR-series single-cylinder engine that produces 40 PS at 8,750 rpm. The engine is tuned to offer a balance between performance and everyday usability, so it is not too aggressive but still fun to ride.

The bike gets a 43 mm upside-down front forks and a rear gas monoshock with preload adjustment. Both offer 140 mm suspension travel, which should help in handling different road conditions.

For braking, it uses four-piston radial calipers. In terms of safety the bike includes ABS and switchable traction control. It also features a torque-assist clutch, which makes gear shifts smoother and reduces effort. However, the seat height is sat at 805 mm.

The main highlight of the Tracker 400 is its design. It takes inspiration from flat track racing, which is visible in its wide handlebars, slightly different footpeg position, and a more upright stance. The bike also gets a boxy fuel tank, flyscreen, seat cowl, and number board-style elements.

It is available in three colours, including Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, and Aluminium Silver Gloss. All versions get subtle race-inspired graphics. The instrument cluster is simple, with an analogue speedometer and a small digital display for basic information.
