On Sunday, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said in the meeting held at Samatva Bhawan located at the Chief Minister’s residence regarding wheat procurement work that the procurement of wheat at the minimum support price will be started in the state at the scheduled time. Wheat will be purchased from all the farmers who register on the procurement portal. In the procurement process, wheat from small farmers will be purchased first. After this, wheat will be purchased from medium and big farmers. Wheat of all farmers with slot booking will be purchased in a phased manner.
There is no shortage of gunny bags in the state
CM Dr. Yadav has said that there is no shortage of gunny bags in the state. Farmers will not be allowed to face any problem of gunny bags while purchasing wheat in the state. The state government is in constant touch with the Central Government, Jute Commissioner and other gunny supply agencies for gunny supply. The Government of India has made additional allocation of 50 thousand jute bales to Madhya Pradesh. Besides, permission has also been given to use HDP/PP bags and one-time use jute gunny bags for wheat procurement. Instructions have been given to senior officials of the Food and Civil Supplies Department to set up a control room at the state level and also in agricultural produce markets to regularly monitor the procurement system. In view of wheat procurement, all the weighing centers of the state should be thoroughly inspected before April 10, so that there is no doubt among the farmers. All the mandis should be upgraded as per the global requirements and made like world class mandis.
