Patna. Relief news has emerged for electricity consumers in Bihar. Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited has shared new information regarding electricity rates, due to which now people will not only get the benefit of free electricity but will also get the opportunity to save extra by using electricity at the right time.

Benefit of free electricity up to 125 units

The state government is already providing up to 125 units of free electricity every month. Lakhs of families are taking advantage of this scheme. This has brought a lot of relief to poor and middle class consumers and their household expenses have come down.

You will get additional benefits in off-peak time

Now the government has gone a step further and given consumers the option of saving on time basis. According to the electricity company, the time from 9 am to 5 pm is considered off-peak hours. During this period, consumers will have to pay only 80% of the normal rate for using electricity, i.e. a direct saving of about 20%.

At the same time, there has been no change in electricity rates from 11 pm to 9 am and the normal rate will remain applicable at this time.
