Bengaluru. On the basis of explosive innings of Tim David (70 not out), Devdutt Padikkal (50) and captain Rajat Patidar (48 not out), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) scored a huge score of 250 runs for three wickets against Chennai Super Kings in the 11th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday.
Today here Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first. Coming to bat for RCB, the opening pair of Phil Salt and Virat Kohli added 37 runs for the first wicket. Anshul Kamboj broke this partnership by dismissing Virat Kohli in the fifth over.
Virat Kohli played an inning of 28 runs in 18 balls, hitting two fours and a six. After this, Devdutt Padikkal, who came to bat, added 56 runs for the second wicket with Phil Salt. Shivam Dubey gave the second blow to RCB by dismissing Phil Salt in the 11th over. Phil Salt scored 46 runs in 30 balls hitting three fours and two sixes.
Jamie Overton bowled out Devdutt Padikkal in the 15th over. Padikkal played an innings of 50 runs in 29 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes. RCB scored a huge score of 250 runs for three wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Tim David played an unbeaten inning of 70 runs in 25 balls, hitting three fours and eight sixes. Captain Rajat Patidar scored unbeaten 48 runs in 19 balls, hitting one four and six sixes. Anshul Kamboj, Shivam Dubey and Jamie Overton dismissed one batsman each for Chennai Super Kings.
