Mung Bean Nutrients
According to the US Department of Agriculture, 100 grams of whole moong dal contains 23.9 grams of protein and 16.3 grams of fiber. Apart from this, it is also an excellent source of iron and calcium. Mung bean also contains minerals like magnesium, potassium (in high quantity), zinc, manganese, selenium, phosphorus. Apart from this, Vitamin C is also found in it and apart from some vitamins of B complex, this lentil also provides you Vitamin A, E, K.
Ingredients of Moong Dal Drink
You need 1 cup of whole moong, apart from this you need 1/4th cup of grated fresh coconut and 1/4th cup of jaggery (it is better if it is organic). With just these three ingredients, your protein rich cold drink will be ready. If you want, you can add some nuts and seeds to it.
Moong Dal Drink Recipe
- First of all you have to wash the green gram and then dry it for some time so that the moisture is removed.
- Now you have to fry the moong dal on low flame until its raw smell disappears and its color changes slightly.
- Now let the dal cool and then put it in a grinder jar. In this you have to add grated coconut, jaggery as per requirement and a pinch of salt.

- Blend everything well. While blending, keep adding some water in between so that a thick paste is prepared and everything is ground well.
- Now take out all the paste in a big vessel and add some ice cubes along with water as per requirement. Your moong dal drink is ready.
