Lucknow, 3 April. Once again a change in weather can be seen in Uttar Pradesh today. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of the new western disturbance, there will be strong winds and light rain in many districts of Western UP. The department has predicted drizzle and thundershowers in about 18 districts including Saharanpur, Shamli, Meerut, Noida.

According to information received from the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and hailstorm in some areas between Friday and Saturday. There may be hailstorm in about 11 districts, due to which people have been advised to remain alert. At the same time, the effect of severe heat was seen in the state on Thursday. In many districts the temperature crossed 40 degrees Celsius. The temperature was recorded above 41 degrees in Banda, while it was 40 degrees in Prayagraj, 39.5 degrees in Varanasi and Hamirpur and 39.2 degrees Celsius in Kanpur.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will start changing in Western UP from Friday and by Saturday its effect will reach Eastern UP. During this period, strong winds may blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour and hail may also fall at some places. According to estimates, the impact of the weather will be seen in the surrounding areas of the state including Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Bijnor, Amroha, Mahoba, Jhansi, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and Lalitpur. Rain and hail will fall in 18 districts.
