LPG Shortage News : “LPG and fuel supply stable, action against violators…”, HPCL statement

MUMBAI: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) assures all its customers that domestic LPG supply is stable, adequate and closely monitored despite the ongoing geo-political developments. LPG distribution is being given top operational priority. The Corporation has been maintaining uninterrupted supply to domestic consumers, supplying more than 15,20,000 cylinders per day, which is fully in line with normal delivery levels. Consumers are being encouraged to use digital platforms like IVRS, SMS, Miss Call, HP Pay and WhatsApp for refill bookings, with almost 93 percent of bookings already being done through these channels.

HPCL has maintained its steady supply trend by supplying 36,188 KL (over 3.6 crore liters) of petrol and 67,339 KL (over 6.7 crore litres) of diesel through nozzles in its retail network on 3 April 2026.

Delivery is being secured through DAC /OTP based authentication to ensure safe and verified receipt. HPCL is actively working to resolve customer issues through its social media platform, web portal and toll-free number (1800-2333-555). Customers can visit myhpgas.in for immediate assistance.

To curb malpractices, HPCL has intensified enforcement through spot checks. More than 3,650 have been done so far, and action has been taken against 31 distributors, including the suspension of 12 distributors. These efforts are being made in close coordination with other oil marketing companies and state governments. So far around 653 raids have been conducted, 40 FIRs have been registered and more than 3,163 cylinders have been seized.

HPCL reiterates that LPG availability is stable and there is no possibility of any shortage. Customers are advised to avoid panic booking, unnecessary queuing or hoarding and trust only authorized communication channels. HPCL is fully committed to ensure uninterrupted availability of LPG, transparency in distribution and strict action against any irregularities.
