New Delhi. Health advisors have issued a serious warning about a new case of coronavirus. It is being told that the deadly variant of Corona ‘Cicada’ is especially targeting children. The biggest matter of concern is that it is badly affecting even those children who were already completely healthy and who did not have any other disease (co-morbidity).

‘Cicada’ variant attacks children’s respiratory system more rapidly than previous strains
Experts believe that the ‘Cicada’ variant attacks the respiratory system of children more rapidly than the previous strain. It has been seen in the data so far that even children without any medical history (who are completely healthy) are falling prey to pneumonia and high fever after infection.
Persistent high fever which cannot be reduced by simple medicines, difficulty in breathing and feeling of extreme tiredness in the body. However, in some cases, symptoms like stomach ache and vomiting have also been reported.
Do not take children to crowded areas.
Encourage hand washing and hygiene habits.
Ensure use of masks in public places and schools.

Senior pediatricians say that parents do not need to panic, but it is mandatory to take precautions. If there is lethargy or change in breathing rate in the child, contact the doctor immediately.
