CM Yogi said- Cashless health facility of Rs 5 lakh to teachers, cooks and instructors

Varanasi, 4 April. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, at the launch of ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ on Saturday, said that it is the primary responsibility of the government and the education department to reduce the dropout rate to zero in the state. He called upon teachers and officials to work together in this direction. The Chief Minister said that approximately Rs 80 thousand crores are being spent on school education in Uttar Pradesh and results should come out accordingly.

He said that the government has taken important decisions for teachers, cooks and instructors. Instructors are being given an honorarium of Rs 17 thousand and Shiksha Mitras are being given Rs 18 thousand per month. Along with this, cashless health facility up to Rs 5 lakh is being provided to all teachers, cooks and instructors. Appreciating the efforts of the Basic Education Department, Yogi said that where earlier there were no Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools, now they have been established by providing budget and they have been extended up to class 12th. Atal Residential Schools have been started for workers and destitute children.

He said that earlier there were two composite schools in each district, whereas now two additional schools are being built in the budget, where education facilities from pre-primary to class 12th will be available in the same campus. Also, construction of children’s gardens is being done at a rapid pace. The Chief Minister said that earlier many girls used to go to school in difficult conditions due to lack of basic facilities, but now bags, books and uniforms are being provided free of cost by the government.

Apart from this, Rs 1200 is also being sent to the accounts of the parents. He appealed to the teachers to contact the parents to ensure enrollment of their children and provide them the benefits of government facilities. The Chief Minister said, “Even today I respect my teachers.” Giving an example, he said that the District Magistrate of Chitrakoot has admitted his child to the Anganwadi centre.
