Key Highlights of the New Syllabus
This year's syllabus is entirely based on a fresh pedagogical approach. Its objective is not merely to encourage rote learning, but to foster a deeper understanding among students. The most significant change is that learning will now be 'Skill-Based,' meaning greater emphasis will be placed on developing students' comprehension and practical skills. Additionally, 'Experiential Learning' will be promoted, enabling students to learn through practical exercises and activities.
Furthermore, students will be offered greater flexibility in choosing their subjects, and the primary objective of their education will shift from merely passing examinations to ensuring their holistic development.
Important Instructions for Parents and Teachers
Dr. Praggya M. Singh, Director (Academics) at CBSE, has issued directives to all schools to fully apprise their teachers of these changes. Additionally, schools have been instructed to organize special Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to ensure that the new syllabus is clearly explained to both parents and students. The Board has also clarified that all schools must strictly adhere to the new syllabus and guidelines.
