Kerala Elections: BJP’s manifesto released, promises to give Rs 3000 to women!

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released the manifesto for the Kerala Assembly elections. During this, BJP also released the campaign song ‘This is change, this is developed Kerala’. BJP has promised to protect people’s faith and places of worship. The BJP manifesto promises to protect Sabarimala, Guruvayur and all other places of worship.
The party said that we will end corruption and government interference in religious rituals and ensure that the management of these places remains in the hands of the devotees. A pension of Rs 3,000 per month has also been promised for senior citizens above 70 years of age, all female heads of poor families and widows.

There is a promise of giving ‘Bhaksya-Arogya Suraksha Card’ to every woman from poor and BPL families, which will have a recharge of Rs 2,500 every month; This card can be used at medicine shops and grocery stores.

Uninterruptible and affordable electricity to every household was promised, including a special subsidy for households with ‘PM Surya Ghar’. There is a promise of giving two free LPG cylinders every year to all poor families. There is a promise to deliver one LPG cylinder during Onam and the other during Christmas.

BJP has also talked about providing free water supply to all the houses. It has also been promised to renovate and conserve all the water sources of Kerala.

There is talk of building a high-speed railway network connecting Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur. BJP says we will restart Nilambur-Nanjangud railway project and progress it rapidly; Also, the Thrissur-Guruvayur line will be extended to Tirur, which will boost trade and tourism in Kerala.

It was promised to develop world-class logistics and industrial infrastructure around Vizhinjam Port. BJP said that this will enable Kerala to get the full benefits of port-based development.

BJP also promises to ensure necessary metro connectivity in all the municipal corporations of Kerala. There is a promise to eliminate unemployment by revitalizing the fast-growing sectors of the state through employment-linked grants.

There is also talk of revolutionizing jobs for skilled Malayali youth by expanding the technology, innovation and electronics sectors of Kerala.

Along with this, there is a promise of free optional English medium education till class 12th. Every Gram Panchayat, Municipality and Municipal Corporation will provide free, compulsory and good quality education till class 12, in which English medium will be an option.

The BJP has also promised to transform Kerala’s education ecosystem into a talent hub.
