Most of us love going on a little boat ride when on an overseas break. Getting out on the ocean can be a great way to relax and top up your tan usually. However, one woman got a big surprise when she turned up for the 'scenic boat ride' her husband booked while on a trip toNew Zealand.
George & Crissa Prieto, who brand themselves an 'adventure travel couple', regularly share videos from their travel escapades on Instagram with their 642,000 followers. In one of their latest reels, Crissa revealed how her idea of a nice boat ride was a bit different to what she got on her New Zealand break.
The clip saw Crissa get into a shark-shaped jet boat as overlay text read, 'POV: Your husband books you a "scenic boat ride" then realises that means something very different in New Zealand...'

She was seen waving before she got into the boat, however her expression soon turned tense as she whizzed along the water and the jet jumped into the air.
However, after the initial shock, Crissa seems to settle in and thoroughly enjoy her wild ride as she smiled into the camera.
Following up in the caption, Crissa wrote: "Did you know you can race across Lake Wakatipu in Queenstown, New Zealand in a shark-shaped jet boat that dives, spins, and launches through the water?!
"Strapping yourself into this $100,000 (£76,000) semi-submersible shark is hands-down one of the most adrenaline-filled experiences in New Zealand!"
She added: "This experience was unreal! Rocketing across the lake at high speed, plunging underwater, breaching up to 15ft in the air, and taking in the dramatic mountain scenery… this is truly one of the most unique bucket list experiences in the world.
"Who would you ride the HydroAttack with?!"
Crissa revealed that they paid $125 NZD (£54) per person for the experience, but said prices may vary by the season.
Trips last 15 minutes total on the water and there is no experience needed to ride. "Just be ready for speed, splashes, and serious adrenaline," she wrote. "You’ll be riding with a trained pilot the whole time."
People were loving the post, with it racking up more than 115,000 likes.
One person exclaimed: "This is awesome," while another added: "So cool!"
A third quipped: "Best scenic ride ever."
