Aadhaar Card Update Campaign: Aadhar card is one of the most important documents for the citizens of India. Today Aadhar card is required in every sector. In such a situation, considering the importance of this important document, Madhya Pradesh government is going to start a new initiative regarding making and updating Aadhaar card. It has often been seen that people get very worried about getting their Aadhaar card made and updated. They make rounds of the centers not only for hours but for many days, even after this the work is not completed on time. But now the common citizens of the state do not need to worry. Madhya Pradesh government in collaboration with UIDAI is going to start a new campaign from tomorrow i.e. 1st April 2026, which can prove to be a relief for the students.
Aadhaar update campaign will start in schools from April 1
Let us tell you that from April 1, a campaign will be run in schools by the State Education Center and School Education Department with the help of UIDAI to get new Aadhaar made and updated. Under this campaign, Aadhar cards of students will be made in schools. The first phase of the campaign will start tomorrow where Aadhaar cards of all the students of the state will be updated or new ones will be made. The purpose of this campaign run by the government is to complete the pending Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) of children. Now parents will not have to visit Aadhar card correction centres. Under this initiative, the process of Aadhaar enrollment and update of children can be completed in schools itself.
More than 500 operators will be deployed
More than 500 operators have been appointed across the state by the School Education Department. Principals of all the schools in the state have been instructed to update the list of such students on the UDISE-Plus portal, whose Aadhaar biometric update process is pending and prepare rosters for those children.
Aadhar update is done for free for these children
According to the rules, it is necessary for children to undergo Aadhaar biometrics twice. It is mandatory to take the first biometric at the age of 5 years and the second biometric at the age of 15 years. For your information, let us tell you that the Aadhaar update of children whose age is between 15 to 17 years will be free. No fee will have to be paid for that. People above this age have to pay a fee for Aadhaar update. Updated Aadhar card is very important for school admission, competitive examinations, scholarships and schemes like Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Apart from this, it also becomes easy to create ‘APAAR’ ID of the students, due to which they do not have to worry again and again.
Aadhaar update campaign was launched earlier also
Even before this, the Aadhaar update campaign was launched by the government. Camps were organized in more than 2 thousand schools of the state, in which more than 15 lakh students got their Aadhaar updated. Now once again the government is going to start this campaign from tomorrow, so that the remaining students of the state can update their Aadhaar.
