Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma gave a big gift to the Anganwadi workers and assistants of the state in a special program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence. During this period, an amount of ₹ 1000 for two sets of uniforms was transferred to the bank accounts of about 1.22 lakh Anganwadi workers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
In the program, the Chief Minister also made an important announcement of increasing the honorarium of Anganwadi workers by 10 percent, which will boost their economic empowerment.
On this occasion, checks of assistance amount were also distributed to women beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes. The Chief Minister said that Anganwadi workers are playing an important role in the field of health and education at the grassroots level and their contribution in shaping the future of the children of the state is incomparable. 
He also said that the state government is committed to providing them all possible support and support while respecting their hard work and dedication.
This initiative is being considered an important step towards women empowerment and social development, which will directly benefit lakhs of Anganwadi workers of the state.
