New Delhi. Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam president and superstar Thalapathy Vijay on Sunday released the party’s manifesto for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, in which he promised to create drug-free security zones and provide monthly assistance to students. Addressing a press conference in Chennai, Vijay stressed on his vision of a drug-free and self-reliant Tamil Nadu. He said anti-drug safety zones would be set up in all schools and colleges across the state. He said that our main goal is to create a drug-free Tamil Nadu. He also assured that all government examinations will be conducted on time without any delay. Vijay announced a monthly assistance of Rs 4,000 for graduates and Rs 2,000 for diploma holders. Outlining his broader vision, he said that our long-term goal is to transform the youth from job seekers to job providers.

Vijay promised a local employment scheme for the local people and said steps would be taken to ensure that 75 per cent of the jobs in Tamil Nadu go to Tamil people. Vijay also unveiled the Creative Entrepreneurs Scheme, which aims to make Tamil Nadu a global hub for creators. Under this initiative, efforts will be made to make 1.5 lakh creators entrepreneurs. Besides, five hundred creative schools will also be established in the entire state. Earlier today, Vijay released the list of candidates for 234 seats in the assembly elections. Actor-turned-politician Vijay will contest from Perambur Assembly and Tiruchirappalli East seats. Announcing the names of the candidates of his party, whose election symbol is CT. He said vote for CT, this is the election of a CT revolution. Vijay will face DMK’s sitting MLA RD Shekhar, who will contest from Perambur. He will also face DMK’s sitting MLA and candidate Inigo Irudayraj on the Trichy East seat. Party general secretary N Anand will contest from T Nagar constituency.
