Gwalior, 27 March. A heart-wrenching road accident took place in the early hours of Friday at Parshuram intersection in Gwalior city. The speeding Scorpio hit an autorickshaw, killing five people of the same family on the spot. The family traveling in the auto was returning after visiting Shitala Mata temple. This moment full of happiness turned into mourning in a few seconds. The people in the auto did not even get a chance to recover. People present at the spot say that Scorpio driver Aman was under the influence of alcohol and was driving fast to escape from the police. According to the information, the driver has been detained.

Four other people have been seriously injured in this accident, including innocent children. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital, where their treatment is ongoing. According to eyewitnesses, the speed of the Scorpio was very high and the driver lost control of the vehicle. There was hue and cry on the spot after the accident. Local people immediately informed the police and ambulance. Police reached the spot, took control of the situation and started relief work. Initial investigation has also revealed that the Scorpio had earlier hit an e-rickshaw and the police was chasing it.

As soon as the auto reached Parashuram intersection, a speeding Scorpio hit it. After the collision, the auto jumped and hit a nearby Neem tree. The intensity of the collision was so high that the auto was completely damaged. The people sitting in it did not get a chance to recover. Many people got trapped in the auto itself. The local people took out the injured with great difficulty.

Inderjeet alias Pappu Shakya, Leela, Shubham alias Lali, Preeti Kashyap and Shagun died in this accident. All belonged to the same family. There is deep mourning in the area due to the demise of many family members. Preeti (20), Priyansh (5), Aarav (6) and others were injured in the accident. Considering the condition of the children, doctors are treating them under special supervision.
