Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while addressing a big public meeting organized in Raniganj on Saturday, strongly attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party. In his speech, he made many serious allegations against BJP and appealed to the workers and the public to remain united. Addressing the rally, Mamata Banerjee alleged that BJP raises money from illegal coal mines and on the contrary accuses Trinamool Congress of corruption. He said that “those who are themselves involved in wrongdoing are the ones who are pointing fingers at others.” Mamata also claimed that the central government has tried to weaken the powers of the state government.

If BJP comes, bulldozer politics will start – Mamata Banerjee

The Chief Minister warned the people that if BJP comes to power, bulldozer politics will start and common people can be evicted from their homes. He said that the people of Bengal will have to unite and support Trinamool Congress to avoid such a situation. Referring to the violence that took place during Ram Navami, Mamata Banerjee cornered BJP. He raised questions on the clashes that took place during the procession in Raghunathganj of Murshidabad and asked why appropriate action was not taken in this matter. He alleged that BJP people are deliberately trying to create tension. Mamta said, “No one has the right to instigate riots. Whoever is guilty will be held accountable.”

The Chief Minister also alleged that administrative officers of the state have been transferred and efforts are being made to spoil the atmosphere by bringing in people from outside. He said that “BJP should understand that the people of Bengal are watching everything and this time too we will win.” Mamta Banerjee also gave a big hint regarding national politics in her speech. He said that BJP may also lose power in the country by trying to harm West Bengal. She made it clear that her goal is not limited to the state only, rather she will challenge the BJP in Delhi also by uniting the opposition parties.

Names of people are being removed from SIR

Also raising questions on the Election Commission, Mamata Banerjee alleged that people’s names are being removed during the special revision of the voter list. He said that this work is being done at the behest of BJP and there is a limit to it, but BJP is continuously crossing that limit. At the end of her address, Mamata Banerjee gave the message of communal harmony and said that in Bengal, people of all religions celebrate festivals together, be it Ram Navami, Durga Puja, Eid or Christmas. He said that his government gives equal respect to all communities.
