Bank open till March 31 : : The administration has made special preparations for the conclusion of the financial year 2025-26 in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. Instructions have been issued to keep all those bank branches in the district, where government transactions take place, open till 12 midnight on March 31. The purpose of this step is to ensure that all government challans and transactions are settled on time and there is no hindrance of any kind.
The Additional Collector has given necessary instructions to the Lead Bank Manager that adequate staff should be present in the branches and technical facilities should be fully active. The administration has clarified that it will be mandatory to file the accounts of all the amounts deposited on March 31 on the same day, so that any kind of irregularities can be avoided in the closing of the financial year.
Convenience for both government and citizens
Generally, on the last day of the financial year, the crowd of people and departments increases in bank branches. Keeping this in mind, the timings of the branches have been extended, so that pending payments, challan deposits and other government transactions can be completed on time.
At the same time, the administration says that this system will not only provide convenience to the government departments, but it will also make it easier for the citizens to complete their banking work at the last moment. Also, this step will prove helpful in ensuring financial discipline in the district and completing all government transactions in a timely manner.
