How to make banana chips
Banana chips are a popular South Indian snack. To prepare this, first peel the raw banana. Now cut them into thin slices. Try to keep the slices of even thickness, so all the chips get an even crunch.
Soak the cut banana in water mixed with light salt and turmeric for 5-10 minutes. This improves the color of the chips and also increases the taste.
Heat oil in the pan. Now take out the banana slices from water, dry them thoroughly and slowly put them in hot oil. Fry them on medium flame until they become golden and crisp.
Drain the fried chips on a paper towel to remove excess oil. Now sprinkle salt, black pepper or chaat masala in it. Your crispy banana chips are ready. Serve them hot with tea or store them in an airtight container.
