Ingredients for making bottle gourd laddu

- Bottle gourd- 700 grams
- Sugar- 200 grams
- Milk powder – ½ cup
- Coconut powder – ¼ cup
- Cardamom powder- 1 tsp
- Desi Ghee- 3 or 4 tsp
Method to make bottle gourd laddu
- First of all, peel the bottle gourd and wash it. Remember the gourd should be very fresh and soft.
- Grate the top part and leave the middle part because we do not want to take seeds in it.
- Now add one spoon of desi ghee in the pan and then fry the bottle gourd well. After frying for about 5 minutes, add sugar to it. If you want, you can add more or less sugar as per your convenience.
- After stirring the gourd and sugar well, cover it and let it cook for 10 minutes.
- Now the gourd is ripe because its water has dried. If there is too much water then let it cook for some more time.
- Now you can add a little food color to it.
- Mix well and add mawa or milk powder to it. If you want, you can also add fresh cream.
- Add coconut powder in it.
- After this add cardamom powder and fry well.
- Lastly add some more desi ghee and fry it well again.
- When the aroma starts coming, turn off the gas. Now take it out in a plate and let it cool thoroughly.
- Now prepare round laddus. Now coat these laddus in coconut shavings.
- Your healthy and tasty bottle gourd laddus are ready.
