WhatsApp booking rule: Amidst the increasing tension in the Middle East and concerns regarding oil and gas supply globally, there is a rise in demand for LPG cylinders in India.
Especially after the news of impact on important sea routes like the Strait of Hormuz, many consumers have already started booking gas cylinders. Although the government has clarified that there is no shortage of LPG in the country and the supply is completely under control, but due to increasing demand, the pressure on the booking system has definitely increased.
In many cities, people are seen standing in long queues outside gas agencies.
While booking through phone call, one often faces the problem of finding the number busy or the call not being connected. In such a situation, digital options, especially booking through WhatsApp, have emerged as a very easy and fast way for people.
Changed rules, increased wait
To maintain balanced availability of LPG and prevent hoarding, the government has changed the booking rules.
Now urban consumers will have to wait at least 25 days for the next refill after a cylinder, whereas in rural areas this period has been reduced to 45 days. Earlier this time was 21 days in urban areas. Oil companies have updated their systems, due to which bookings will not be accepted before the scheduled time.
Booking in minutes through WhatsApp
In this era of Digital India, gas companies have started the facility of booking through WhatsApp. With this, consumers neither need to go to the agency nor make repeated phone calls.
Indane Gas customers can send the message “REFILL” to 7588888824 from their registered number.
Bharat Gas customers can start booking by sending “Hi” or “Book” to number 1800224344.
HP Gas customers can complete the further process by sending “Hi” to 9222201122.
After sending the message, you receive an automated reply confirming your booking and providing further information. The entire process is completed within a few minutes.
SMS and call option also
For consumers who do not have internet access, traditional methods are also available.
Indane customers can send SMS “REFILL” to 7718955555.
For Bharat Gas, message “LPG” can be sent to 7715012345 or 7718012345.
