New Delhi: The LPG cylinder crisis across the country, triggered by the ongoing war in Iran, has forced several restaurants and hotels to shut down due to a cooking gas shortage. While some eateries have temporarily closed their businesses, others have curtailed their menus, removing dishes that require slow cooking, like biryani and dosa. Besides, the crisis has also led to panic buying and hoarding of cooking gas cylinders in several states. This comes amid growing concerns over global supply constraints of LPG due to ongoing tensions in West Asia. Meanwhile, long queues are seen outside LPG distribution centres across several states.
