New Delhi: There was a sensation when the dead body of a 25-year-old girl was found in a hotel room in the old area of ​​the capital Delhi. After initial investigation found the case suspicious, the police have registered a case of murder. The young man with whom the girl was staying in the hotel is said to be absconding since the incident and the police is busy searching for him.

According to police officials, this incident came to light in a hotel located in Lahori Gate area of ​​Old Delhi. In the early hours of Thursday, the hotel staff informed the police that a room was locked from inside for a long time and despite repeated knocking on the door, no response was being received. After receiving the information, the local police patrol team immediately reached the spot. When there was no response from inside the room, the police broke the door with the help of hotel staff and entered inside.

As soon as the door opened, the police found a girl lying on the bed inside the room. The blanket was partially covered over his body. Blood stains were visible on the bed and clothes lying around, which deepened the suspicion regarding the incident. After this, senior police officers also reached the spot. Crime branch team and forensic experts were called to investigate the incident.

Forensic team collected evidence

During investigation, police found traces of blood at many places in the room. There were big blood stains on the bed and traces of blood were also found on the clothes. The forensic team collected samples and other important evidence from the spot to ascertain the exact cause of death.

The girl had come to the hotel with the young man

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the girl had come to the hotel with a young man at around 12 noon on Wednesday. According to the hotel records, the name of the young man is said to be Abhishek Tiwari and his age is around 24 years. According to the police, the youth locked the room from outside at around five in the evening and left the hotel. Since then no trace of him has been found.

The family had filed a missing complaint

On the other hand, the girl’s family became worried when she did not return home. The family told that as usual, she had left home at around 11 in the morning to go to work, but did not return till late at night and her phone was also switched off. After this, the family lodged his missing report at Jafrabad police station. Later the police contacted the family and informed them about the incident that happened in the hotel.

The girl was a resident of Maujpur

According to the police, the deceased was a resident of Maujpur area of ​​North-East Delhi. She lived with her parents, grandmother and younger sister. The girl used to work in a private company located at Chandni Chowk. Police sent the body to Loknayak Jayaprakash (LNJP) Hospital for post-mortem. After post-mortem the body was handed over to the family.

Search for the accused continues

Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have registered a case of murder under section 103 of the Indian Justice Code. Police say that several teams have been formed to search for the accused. According to officials, CCTV footage and other technical evidence of the hotel are being examined. The police is investigating the case from every aspect so that the truth of the incident can be revealed and the accused can be arrested soon.
