LPG Cylinder Shortage: PM Modi’s big action on LPG shortage in the country, Home Ministry created special control room

News India Live, Digital Desk: Amid reports of shortage and disruption in the supply of LPG in some parts of the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a special appeal to the public. PM Modi has asked people to remain patient and not pay attention to any kind of rumours. The government has clarified that there is sufficient stock of fuel in the country and work is being done on a war footing to streamline the supply chain. Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) took command, created a control room. In view of the problems being faced in gas supply, the Union Home Ministry is on full alert mode. The ministry has set up a special ‘control room’ to coordinate with the states. This control room will work 24×7 and will do real-time monitoring of LPG distribution in the states. The Home Ministry has directed all the states and union territories to ensure the movement of gas tankers so that black marketing or artificial scarcity does not arise anywhere. Preparations to curb rumors After the news on social media about the acute shortage of gas cylinders, long queues were seen at gas agencies in many cities. The government says that some mischievous elements are trying to create panic. The Home Ministry has directed the states to take strict action against those who are spreading misinformation. Priority will be given to the supply chain. After the intervention of PM Modi, the Petroleum Ministry and the Home Ministry are working together. Technical hurdles in transportation have been removed and cylinders are being transported from gas bottling plants to distribution centers on priority basis. Officials claim that the situation will become completely normal in the next 24 to 48 hours.
