WhatsApp constantly adds new features for user convenience. Now, the company has added the Group Message History feature. This feature is exclusively for group members. The purpose of this new feature is to improve and simplify the experience for new members. You may have noticed that you join a group, but your old chats aren't displayed, leaving you unable to see what was discussed. In such a situation, people already in the group have to take screenshots of the chat or forward old messages, which can be a nuisance.
With this new feature, group admins will be able to share a history of 25 to 100 messages with new members. This will provide new members with up-to-date information and eliminate the need to forward messages. This feature prioritizes control and privacy. Sharing message history isn't automatic; admins will need to take action. Administrators can also disable this option if they wish. It's worth noting that admins can choose to share history when adding any user to a group.

For greater transparency, every group participant receives a notification whenever a message history is sent to a new member. These shared messages are clearly marked as separate from regular chat content, with a timestamp and sender details visible, so everyone knows what's being shared for context.
