Other notable gainers included Allied Blenders (+3.77%), South Indian Bank (+3.49%), TVS Holdings (+3.39%)and Poly Medicure (+3.11%).
Investor sentiment remained upbeat as festive optimism and a strong start to Samvat 2082 lifted market confidence. Both benchmark indices — Sensex and Nifty 50 — traded higher, supported by strength in financials, auto, and consumer stocks.
Market analysts attributed the rally to renewed buying interest across sectors, driven by optimism for long-term growth in the new Hindu financial year.
